Flow Maldistribution Screener

A browser demo of the bounded repeated-channel header model behind 0684. This is a fast pre-CFD screening aid for periodic or near-periodic cases — not a general CFD replacement, and not a claim about arbitrary manifold geometry.

Model controls

Use smooth drift, forcing drift, and localized blockage to move the distribution shape. Uniform forcing alone would only rescale the solution, so this demo exposes the part that actually changes maldistribution.

Nominal series is the uniform periodic baseline. Perturbed series includes smooth resistance drift, sinusoidal forcing drift, and a localized blockage.

Channel flow profile

The white profile is the periodic baseline. The amber profile is the perturbed case. If the shape changes, the screener is seeing actual maldistribution rather than just a rescaled operating point.
